Can someone explain the service module general features in Axapta 4.0?? what is that for??

Service management in AX 4.0 provides capabilities best suited for 1. Business to business service instead of business to end-user service
2. Complex service arrangements consisting of a variety of repetitive and non-repetitive services tasks on manufactured objects, instead of routine services such as cleaning or security.

Service Management features: 1. the ability to create service aggrements with customers from which service visits are generated periodically.2. The ability to create ad hoc or emergency serveice.
3. The ability to track repais
4. The ability to track and record detailed changes to service objects using BOm versions.
5. The ability to create subscription fee transactions that can, among other things, is used to pay for the service provided by the service company.
Service management has a high degree of integrationto the Project module.
