What?Axapta.com Forums: Telephony and Outlook

In the CRM module, how could we set the Telephony and Outlook Integration?? CRM is enabled in Microsoft Synch. and Telephony?

For 4.0 -

For telephony u need TAPI -

Path - CRM\Setup\Contact management\Telephony\Phone parameters

If you have TAPI setup correctly, you will see Line devices.If you dont see any line devices, press Initialize button, it will refresh the line device list. Then "Set Active Line Device" to choose the line device to use. (No need to restart Ax if it is >= 4.0 )

For outgoing calls - Go to Business relation , Contact Persons, Telemarketing ,etc . In Phone no/sms fields when you click on phone lookup button it will bring the caller form.

For incoming calls - Map current user to employee, go on the employee -setup tab - telephony field grp - Activate - Turn it on. Restart AX.If you get a incoming call , a dialog will pop up which will try to match it with BR,contact person ,etc.

For Outlook Sync (>= 4.0 ) -

1. Setup outlook on machine which has Ax client

2. Map your user to employee.

3. Go to employee form , contact information tab - enter email address same as your outlook email address.

4. Employee - Functions - Set current outlook user

5. Optional - Function - Pick MS outlook Contact/app/task folder,etc. If you dont do that it will sync ur default folders.

6. Optional - Employee - Microsoft office Outlook tab - Parameters to control sync like sync recurring appointments, sync private appointments/tasks,etc

7.To sync with outlook - CRM - Periodic - Microsoft office outlook sync - Syncronize

For contacts you can use My contacts form under MS office Outlook sync

mittal_mudit , i have configured the outlook and the syncronised everythingis fine but i want to send the purchase order invoice to the contact person by email but i when i click on send the invoice bye email its saying can't send it . should i need to setup anything else .... if u have any contact number please send me i am new to axapta or mail me to luvchoc@rediffmail.com or just leave u r number i will call u back
